Rates

Rates are currently $85/month for four weekly 30-minute lessons, payable in advance at the first lesson of each month.  In-home lessons are available only in select areas of Kansas City with a tuition cost of $105/month per student.

Payment

Payment is on a monthly tuition-type basis, not week-by-week. You will receive an average of four lessons each month. During months in which there is a major holiday (Christmas, Thanksgiving, spring breaks, etc), there may only be 3 weeks of lessons, made up in a month that has a fifth week. Twice a year there will be a recital in place of the missed lesson.

When you discontinue lessons, you must give at least 30 days notice. If you cannot continue lessons for a month after notifying me, you must still pay for the next month’s tuition.

Holidays

 1). There will be no lessons on Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s holidays; I will inform you of the exact dates. There will also be one week of vacation for spring break. Other national holidays may also be included, depending on the days on which they fall.

2). If there are other days that I am unavailable to teach, I will inform you as far in advance as possible and schedule make-up lessons or refund you for the missed lesson.

Cancellation Policy/Refunds

 1). Missed lessons will NOT be excused except in rare cases with prior permission.

2). With sufficient notice (at least 7 days in advance) lessons which conflict with other special activities such as school programs may be rescheduled when I have another slot available. You must be able to make-up lessons during my scheduled teaching hours, and makeups are limited to 2 per semester (spring, summer, fall). 

3).Except in rare instances, cancellations or “no-shows” will necessitate charging the full session fee (including personal vacations, etc.) as I must keep that time reserved for your lesson.                                                                                          

4). Refunds are only given for a balance of lessons paid past the 30-day notice of intent to withdrawal.
